Ouch! Heating Up With Ranger

[This post may include affiliate links. Visit our Principles page, for full disclosure.]

Product Review

PRODUCT: Ranger Heat-It Tool
USE: craft heat gun for drying paint quickly and embossing
COST: approx. $20.00

RATING: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5

My Story

After multiple attempts (4 to be exact) at purchasing a craft heat tool and multiple failures (4 to be exact), I discovered the Ranger Heat-It Tool. Every heat gun I purchased (again, I bought 4) melted in some way.

So glad nothing caught fire.

The safety feature that encases the hot metal area where the heat comes out melted. I chose to blame it on user error and thought maybe I was shaking the tool too hard when drying my pages. I exchanged the damaged heat gun for the exact same one, but I completely stopped shaking the tool. Unfortunately it melted once again.

I returned the heat gun and searched high and low for a different brand. The next one I purchased looked very similar to the first one. This time, I watched YouTube tutorial videos of people using the same heat gun, to see if I still might not be using it properly. Every person in those videos used the heat gun the same way I did AND they shook it. As you can see in the picture below, that too melted. Disappointed, I thought I would simply be destined to always wait for my projects to air dry.

My third one.

My Solution

While watching another blogger’s bible journaling tutorials, I noticed she was using a heat gun that looked a lot like a hairdryer. That was it! I needed a tool that didn’t have a plastic piece nearly covering the area where the hot air exited the tool.

I ordered a Ranger Heat-It Tool that day on Amazon Prime and have been using it ever since. No more melting. It works great for drying paint and ink, and for embossing.

My fave craft heat tool.

Finishing Touch…

During my search for a craft heat gun that didn’t melt or nearly catch fire, I read a ton of reviews. There were people that left positive reviews for the tools that melted on me.  I personally had trouble with heat guns designed in that way and found the Ranger Heat-It Tool worked much better for me. If you don’t have one yet or you have one that sometimes melts (yikes!), I recommend picking up the Ranger Heat-It Tool. It is a great addition to all my crafting tools and supplies.

Hey creative sisters! I've been falling behind in Hey creative sisters! I've been falling behind in the #wanderlust2021class 😭 I'm trying to catch up this week. The theme this month is ephemera and I'm getting my ephemera prepared for week 7. A great tip we were given, was to keep a piece of paper in your typewriter. Then throughout your week, take any free time to type out streams of consciousness, not worrying about spelling, punctuation, etc. Well I have a difficult time recording those random thoughts, maybe because I've been a writer my entire life. LOL! 😆 So instead, everytime a song popped into my head, I went over to my vintage typewriter and began typing out song lyrics. I didn't even check to make sure the words were right. I'm sure much of it isn't. So, much of it sounds like ramblings, which is what I was hoping for. I lurve how this coffee/tea stained paper looks with all of those words on it! Now I'm going to scan the page into my computer, so I'll be able to use it in other projects. And hopefully I'll be able to finish up the project from week 7. Hope you all are having a lovely week! God adores you! And so do I! #hispalette #biblejournaling #biblejournalingcommunity #bibleartjournaling #mixed-media #mixedmedia #learningsomethingnew #artjournal

The Lord sees the effort we are making. He is an o The Lord sees the effort we are making. He is an omniscient and omnipresent father. We do not need to wave our hands in the air and holler at the top of our voice, so He will notice our deeds.
And if He already knows about our giving, fasting etc. what reason do we have to shout it from the rooftops?
Ask yourself: Are we doing these things for the glory of God?
Or are we seeking our own glory in the eyes of others?
