Hello sisters!
Welcome to His Palette Online! My name is Kimberly Baumann. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada with my husband and our two college-aged children. This is the story of how hispalette.com got started.

It began with disappointment…

The whispering of His Palette came to my mind as I drove home from a sadly disappointing Bible journaling workshop. I had no better idea of Bible journaling techniques or inspiration on the drive home than I did on the drive there.  I thought “somebody can do better. Someone should offer a class that truly explains the process and techniques of bible journaling.” I heard God question me. “Someone?”  And that is when I chose to follow the Lord’s leading to BE that someone. My simple idea was to share more information, inspiration, and tutorials with novices and experienced journalers alike, in a local class-like setting.

My original little idea

I planned to just hold classes and workshops for those in the Las Vegas area until I spoke to Pastor Timberley Gray of The River A Christian Church and Living Our Priorities. She placed a fire under me, fueled by God and my dream to share the Bible journaling process with anyone who would listen.

A pastor’s wisdom

Pastor Timberley knew about my desire to bring more people to Christ. I told her how I believed Bible journaling was a unique opportunity to get young people more interested in their Bibles and to help people of all ages get into the Word daily.

She pretty much told me I was missing a huge opportunity to share my passion, Bible journaling and Jesus, with the world. This is how hispalette.com was born.

Finishing Touch…

I created this website with the hope that I (with the Lord’s strength) would be doing BIG THINGS all for the glory of God. Thank you for taking the time to visit. I pray His Palette helps you discover something new and exciting in your own personal walk with the Lord.

If you have an idea of other creative things you’d like to see on hispalette.com, please shoot me an email. No matter how BIG, no matter how audacious the idea, if it’s for God’s glory or helps others with their faith journey, I want to hear it. Bless you for your time.

Hey creative sisters! I've been falling behind in Hey creative sisters! I've been falling behind in the #wanderlust2021class 😭 I'm trying to catch up this week. The theme this month is ephemera and I'm getting my ephemera prepared for week 7. A great tip we were given, was to keep a piece of paper in your typewriter. Then throughout your week, take any free time to type out streams of consciousness, not worrying about spelling, punctuation, etc. Well I have a difficult time recording those random thoughts, maybe because I've been a writer my entire life. LOL! 😆 So instead, everytime a song popped into my head, I went over to my vintage typewriter and began typing out song lyrics. I didn't even check to make sure the words were right. I'm sure much of it isn't. So, much of it sounds like ramblings, which is what I was hoping for. I lurve how this coffee/tea stained paper looks with all of those words on it! Now I'm going to scan the page into my computer, so I'll be able to use it in other projects. And hopefully I'll be able to finish up the project from week 7. Hope you all are having a lovely week! God adores you! And so do I! #hispalette #biblejournaling #biblejournalingcommunity #bibleartjournaling #mixed-media #mixedmedia #learningsomethingnew #artjournal

The Lord sees the effort we are making. He is an o The Lord sees the effort we are making. He is an omniscient and omnipresent father. We do not need to wave our hands in the air and holler at the top of our voice, so He will notice our deeds.
And if He already knows about our giving, fasting etc. what reason do we have to shout it from the rooftops?
Ask yourself: Are we doing these things for the glory of God?
Or are we seeking our own glory in the eyes of others?
Today is the first day of Lent (Ashley Wednesday). The focus scriptures for this page are Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18.
